Why do I see “Payment is Pending”?

Banks and payment processors, such as PayPal, use algorithms to detect potentially fraudulent transactions. If you see this message after making a purchase on Chariz, it means your transaction was flagged by a fraud protection algorithm for human review.

In almost all cases, we find that the payment is released after 24 hours. You should be able to download the product after 24 hours have passed.

In rare cases, your payment may be determined as fraudulent. If this happens, the payment will be canceled, and the amount will be refunded to your payment method. You will be able to try making the purchase again.

When this message appears, your payment is held with the processor. It is not held by Chariz. Unfortunately, we are not able to bypass this for you. We appreciate your patience.

It’s been longer than 24 hours, help?

Sometimes payment review can take longer than this period. If you’d like us to take a look at what’s going on, please email support@chariz.com with your Chariz purchase ID. This is a code that looks something like CHR-ABC123DEF456GHI7. It can be found in your receipt email from us, or in the sidebar (on desktops/tablets) or at the bottom of the page (on phones) of the listing page for the product you’re having trouble with.

How to prevent this in future

  • If you use PayPal, visit paypal.com and confirm a billing address is set under your profile. You may also be requested to verify your identity.
  • Confirm that your billing address on PayPal and Chariz matches the one on your bank account statement.
  • Avoid using a VPN or other proxy. These can be seen as high-risk by our payment providers.
  • Consider trying a different payment method for future purchases from Chariz. For instance, if you paid with your debit card, try a credit card, or your PayPal balance.
